Intro
As simillar to the previous post, i made this cursor using Inkscape and RealWorld Cursor Editor.
Where to download?
You can download the the latest version from the GitHub Releases on this repository.
Process
This cursor was made a week ago if i recall correct, and the work was quite “tedious”, i had to relearn how to make the pointing hand again, even though i’ve already made another one (which is better than this one i’m making, explained later). I also forgot how to use the cursor editor as how i used it before, such as making a cursor file larger than 64x64 (largest in preset).
Misc. info
Apparently it seems that the old version seems to be much more polishe compared to this cursor theme, such as the link select cursor (the hand with the pointing finger), text caret and precision cursors being clear and “high quality”, compared to this one, and also not having it’s own light mode, which is obvious since i wanted to release this ASAP, while forgetting to “polish up” the cursor.
And the worst part is thst i forgot how to make a cursor file without losing it’s quality, but i think maybe i could find how to do it by doing some quick google search.
But still, the old version still has some flaws though, such as the handwriting cursor’s tip being quite unrecognizeable since i made it that small:
Clearly i didn’t realize that while i made the cursor, but at least this somewhat didn’t happen to this cursor.
Closing
This short post seems to be fitting as a rant about myself about how your old self could be better at some cases. But still, regardless everything that you do, nothing is perfect anyway, as a single mistake will be lingering there and it is completely unavoidable.
Also, some of the flaws in this cursor theme are still fixable woth patches anyway, so i shouldn’t bother much about it. And preparing TODO lists aren’t a bad idea either.
But anyways if there’s any improvements or criticisms about the cursor other than what i stated earlier, you can write it down at the comments if there’s something worth to change.
